HALA welcomes Local Space as newest member
Local Space, the East London based social housing provider has become the 17th Housing Association to join The Housing Associations' Legal Alliance (HALA), which is managed by Kennedy Cater.
Established in 2006 by a partnership between the London Borough of Newham and a group of Housing Professionals, Local Space currently own some 2,000 homes, largely in the East End of London. The majority of these give previously homeless people a place to live, whilst the remainder are for keyworkers, most of whom work in the public sector.
The HALA vision is “to be the most successful collaborative partnership of housing associations in the UK, at the forefront of innovative procurement practice and efficiency strategy, delivering a demonstrable best value service to its members and tenants.”
